Generally, our cosmetic tattoos can last anywhere from 1 to 3 years. Oily skin types may find that their cosmetic tattoos fade quicker, while those with dry or normal skin may find their results last for a longer period. It's important to follow proper aftercare instructions provided by our specialists to extend the life of your cosmetic tattoo. We also recommend scheduling Colour Boost-up appointments every 12-18 months to maintain the desired look.

*Before your brow tattoo appointment, we recommend that you allow your brow hair to grow out without waxing, shaving, or tweezing. This will give us a better understanding of your natural brow shape and density during the consultation. At the consultation, we will discuss your desired look and tailor the treatment to match your preferences. By following these steps, you'll help us create your perfect brows.

Q: Will I experience any pain or discomfort?

We use the latest technology and techniques to ensure your experience is as painless as possible, so rest assured the utmost care is taken to make sure your experience is as comfortable as possible during the procedure, and any discomfort experienced would be very mild.

Please note that when on a period your skin can feel more sensitive during the procedure.

Q: Is it possible for individuals under 18 years old to get a cosmetic tattoo?

Accepted Answer

A: Under Australian regulations, individuals under the age of 18 are generally not eligible to receive cosmetic tattooing procedures, including eyebrow tattooing, eyeliner tattooing, and other forms of permanent makeup. In New South Wales, exceptions may apply with parental consent.

However, at Blushing Brows, we do not recommend cosmetic tattooing for individuals under 18 years of age, even with parental consent. We believe such procedures should only be undertaken with full maturity and a clear understanding of the long-term implications.

This policy is in place to protect younger clients and to ensure all decisions regarding permanent makeup are made responsibly.

Q: Am I a good candidate to get a cosmetic tattoo at Blushing Brows?

At Blushing Brows, we are dedicated to ensuring that our clients receive the best possible results from their cosmetic tattoo procedures. You may be a good candidate for cosmetic tattooing if you meet the following criteria:

1. You do not have severe skin conditions, such as eczema or psoriasis, in the area where you wish to get the tattoo applied. 
2. You are not currently pregnant, nursing or other as hormonal changes can affect the outcome of the procedure and healing process. 
3. You are not prone to keloid scarring, as this may affect how your skin heals post-procedure. 
4. You are in overall good health and do not have any major illnesses or infections that could hinder the healing process.

However,  if you are currently taking any prescription medications (including cosmetic products),  diabetic condition, cancer, etc. please ask your GP or Doctor before booking.

In the past, some eyeliner tattoos faded to blue or grey due to low-quality pigments, outdated techniques, or pigment being implanted too deeply into the skin.
